FAQS
How long does it take to install ducted air conditioning in my home?
Depending on the size of the house and the degree of difficulty, most installations are completed within one day.
How many persons are involved in the installation?
Usually between four to six persons.
Will there be much mess inside and outside my home?
The installation involves cutting the ceiling to install the outlets and during this operation drop sheets are used to minimise dust etc. All packaging is removed from site and your home is left in a clean and tidy state.
What is three phase power? Will I need it and how much does it cost?
Three phase power is a 415 volt power supply involving the installation of additional cabling and equipment to your meter box. Three phase power is required for air conditioning systems for homes larger than 16 squares (approximately). The cost to connect three phase power can be as little as $420 for homes in new estates and can cost up to $1200 (on average) for homes in older areas.
What is covered by warranty?
Most manufacturers offer a five year parts and labour warranty - naturally batteries and air filters are excluded.
Why is a Custom Air Conditioning Warranty different?
A Custom Air Conditioning warranty not only includes the equipment but ALSO covers items such as zoning equipment, duct work, outlets and MOST IMPORTANTLY includes the WORKMANSHIP. At Custom Air your system is totally covered by a parts and labour warranty on the WHOLE system.
Who will provide warranty service on my system?
Custom Air Conditioning technicians provide after sales service, and most calls are attended within a 24 hour period. (Visit the service section on this site for more information).
